Abena's Tutoring Services

Abena's Tutoring Services, an educational resource for a better tomorrow, provides a unique experience for each educational relationship established with students. The organization believes that education is a free right of  every human being.

The Director/Lead Tutor, kYmberly Keeton, has tutored students throughout Texas. Her background is in journalism, creative writing, editing, literacy, and publishing. Graduating from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts with University Honors in English-Creative Writing with a minor in African-American Studies in December of 2008, this young woman is committed to helping her community.

Realizing that it was necessary to start an organization that provides educational tools for success, Abena's Tutoring Services, is the answer to helping students learn -versus- memorizing information for standardized test'. Students who are enrolled in Abena's Tutoring Services are given an educational pre-assessment that provides information that will help with their map for success.

Reading is one of the fundamental requirements of learning any subject in academia. We pride ourselves on helping students with literacy, and challenging them to read two books a month. Ensuring that every student enrolled in our tutoring program will have a learning experience that they will remember for a lifetime, is our main goal.
